To develop, promote
and foster the game of cricket in Seattle and the Pacific Northwest
through competitive and social participation at all skill levels, by
providing Cricket to all members, keeping all member informed of the
Clubs policies/decisions, and continually supporting BCMCL, NWCL,
and SCC internal cricket.

Seattle
Cricket Club celebrated the end of the year with a banquet and
awards ceremony at the new Shalimar Restaurant in Bellevue.
The awards were given to the best batsman, bowler and outstanding
players.

Our
beloved friend and great batsman, Navaal Ramdin suffered a heart
attack and died on February 19, 2009 in Seattle. Navaal was
born in Trinidad & Tobago on March 7, 1956. Navaal worked as
an Electrical Engineer at Boeing for 20 years. He is survived
by his wife, Alex Szablya Ramdin, their two children, Shivana
age 10 and Rohan age 7.
This
year Seattle Cricket Club is fielding three NWCL team Pioneers,
Patriots and the seniors team will be called Evergreens. However,
the BCMCL team remains Seattle-I playing in Division-1.
Seattle Cricket Club will be organizing a Kids Cricket Clinic/Camp
this year in July/August 2009. More information regarding this
camp will be posted soon.
